Living Paycheck to Paycheck
Guys, I made it. It wasn’t easy but I did it! If you don’t already know what I’m talking about, I’m referring to my paychecks and making it to August. It was one of the hardest months to get through as I bought a new leather jacket last month.
Here are 4 easy steps to making it through the month when you don’t have enough money left.
- Lunch and Dinner – Make these the only meals of the day.
- Sack Lunches – utilize the grocery store and bring a lunch to work. I literally ate the same thing for lunch 5 days straight.
- Fast food dinners – In n Out Burger, Taco Bell, McDonalds. Meals under $10 are key!
- Cheat! I ended up taking $50 out of my savings only to replenish it when I got paid on the 1st.
July was a great month. I did a lot of great things and even though I had no money at the end of the month, I can’t wait to do the same thing in August.

taking money out of your savings is not cheating! that’s what it’s there for! as someone who lived off their savings for 4 months while unemployed (and who still knows that I can only spend 20 dollars a day until my next paycheck if i don’t want to overdraft or have my rent check bounce) i feel your pain love. though, i must say, i’m not exactly “in love” with this feeling. i’d really appreciate it if more things were free.
Kind of funny when you walk down the street and realize that some bum has more money in his cup than you have in your bank account.
